Chase

Chase Bechtel

Managing Partner

Chase is a Managing Partner at 1901 Royalty Partners, LLC (“1901”). Prior to 1901, he was a Co-founder of Paint Rock Royalty, LLC (“Paint Rock”), where he held the position of Managing Partner from 2016 through October of 2023. While at Paint Rock, he assisted in the acquisition of mineral and royalty interests totaling over 17,000 net acres, the majority of which were in the Permian Basin and Haynesville Shale. Before Paint Rock, Chase was Director of Business Development and

Acquisitions at Clear Fork Royalty, LLC (“Clear Fork”), a company based in Fort Worth, Texas that purchases mineral and royalty interests throughout the United States. From 2012 to 2015, he played an integral part in raising capital for three separate funds that purchased assets in over 20 different states throughout the country.

He graduated from Saint Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a BBA in Finance. He is a native of Fort Worth, Texas.

Ryan C. Gardner

Managing Partner

Ryan is the co-founder of 1901 Royalty Partners. Prior to forming 1901, Ryan was elevated from Vice President of Acquisitions to a Managing Partner of Paint Rock Royalty, LLC, which focused on acquisitions of royalties, minerals and overriding royalty across the U.S.  After attending Texas Tech University Ryan began his career as a Landman with Norwood Land Services, LLC .

 

Ryan grew up in Wichita Falls, but now resides in Fort Worth with his wife and family.

Hunter

Hunter Yancey

Vice President of Land

Hunter Yancey is Vice President of Land at 1901 Royalty Partners, LLC. Mr. Yancey joined 1901 Royalty Partners after previously serving as Vice President of Land at Paint Rock Royalty, LLC. Prior to Paint Rock Royalty, Mr. Yancey worked for Norwood Land Services, LLC for 10 years. While studying Business Management at Texas Tech University, he had the opportunity to begin his career as a field landman negotiating seismic agreements and running mineral and leasehold title in West Texas.

He spent the last four years with Norwood Land Services as a Project Manager overseeing projects throughout Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. Mr. Yancey brings a wealth of knowledge in complex Mineral and Leasehold Title, Acquisitions and Title Curative.

Mr. Yancey grew up in San Angelo, Texas and currently resides in Dallas with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf and traveling. 

Hunter Wrather

Associate of Acquisitions

Mr. Wrather’s responsibilities include locating, negotiating, and acquiring mineral and royalty interests on behalf of 1901 Royalty Partners, LLC (“1901”) in the Permian Basin and Haynesville region.

Prior to joining 1901, Mr. Wrather served as an Acquisition Landman and Business Development professional at Jetstream Royalty Partners in Fort Worth, Texas. During his tenure, he focused primarily on mineral and royalty acquisitions across the Midland and Delaware Basins.

​

Mr. Wrather earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Energy from Texas Christian University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and playing guitar and is an avid fan of the Texas country music scene. He is a native of Longview, Texas, and currently resides in Fort Worth.
